Fédération Envie is a national network of social enterprises specialised in the reuse and repair of electrical appliances in France. After a successful application, their project to optimise refurbishing processes on home appliances was selected for support by the Michelin Foundation.
Fédération Envie received funding from the Michelin Foundation to optimise refurbishment processes for home appliances and improve employees' working conditions across Envie's workshops in France.
Michelin Foundation’s support has played a crucial role in improving the operational efficiency of Envie's workshops, as well as the workplace environment. The funding has facilitated a number of initiatives, including the funding of two employees working on the management of the workshops; research on devices to improve working conditions; the development of more effective repair techniques and tools, aided by an ergonomic assessment; and the introduction of new procedures for the optimisation of reuse processes through on-site training.
