Humusz is an Hungarian NGO which for many years has been actively involved in waste prevention education and awareness raising campaign to reduce the impact of waste on the environment.
The objective of Humusz Szövetség is to make sustainable production and consumption an everyday practice in Hungary. Humusz works in order to create the will, to disseminate the knowledge required and to develop the social, economic and environmental framework of conditions needed. Humusz collects used textiles (jeans), in collaboration with an upcycling company. They also maintain a community composting point, collecting bio-waste from over 200 households.
