Its sorting center, unique in the region, processes up to 8,000 tonnes per year. As a member of the Emmaüs movement, Le Relais Est promotes the professional integration of people facing barriers to employment and is part of a network of committed stakeholders working towards an ethical, transparent and circular textile industry, including the European TESS group and Synergies TLC..
Le Relais is a network of enterprises dedicated to creating sustainable jobs for individuals facing exclusion, operating since the 1980s with the solidarity values championed by Abbé Pierre and as a member of Emmaüs France. Textile operations have rapidly expanded, making it the leading textile collection and recycling operator in France. Le Relais reinvests all profits into fighting exclusion, focusing on maintaining local activities and creating jobs close to communities. Le Relais is currently creating over 2,200 jobs.
