Dromore Repair Cafe

The aim is to address isolation, lonliness and mental health issues in the local community by engaging in activities which focus on Repair, Reuse and Rethink. Higher Ground are a community gardening group dedicated to enhancing the appearance of the community and developing civic pride. They use peat free locally made compost, second hand equipment and items otherwise destined for landfill, reducing waste and embracing a circular economy. The Repair Cafe provides free repair services for electrical items, clothing, mechanical items, furniture, bicycles and more reducing waste, promoting sustainability and sharing skills with the community. Our Community/Mens Shed will offer a shared space with tools and resources where members can work on personal or group projects, promote skill sharing, creativity and social interaction and enhancing well being.
