The Garrison Shed

The Garrison Shed is a place where men and women can gather to work on practical projects, socialise and share skills. Our work centres on repair and reuse, with a current focus on furniture restoration and upholstery. Members use reclaimed materials wherever possible, giving resources new life. Over time, we hope to broaden their skills and expand into a wider range of repair and upcycling projects. The Garrison Shed are currently building partnerships within their community so that their projects can benefit the local community and have a wider impact. For example, we hope to support their local preschool by restoring and upholstering damaged school furniture to reduce costs for the preschool and also prevent resources from going to landfill.
