Whether in the circular economy, agri‑food sector, or care services, work integration social enterprises (WISEs) play a vital role in building fairer and more inclusive societies by creating job opportunities and providing tailored support to people who face barriers to the labour market.
The first policy brief of the WISESHIFT Horizon Europe project, of which RREUSE is a consortium member, is now available. It offers key recommendations to help EU and national policymakers harness the transformative potential of WISEs and ensure that they are fully recognised and supported in relevant social and employment policies.
The brief explores several policy areas essential to strengthening work integration social enterprises, including national social economy strategies, public procurement, partnerships, and state aid, among others.
