After years of fruitful collaborations together, RREUSE has become a member of Social Economy Europe (SEE), the European umbrella organisation representing the social economy at EU level. Through this membership, the experience and perspectives of social enterprises active in reuse, repair and other circular activities will have an even stronger voice in European policymaking.
RREUSE’s decision to join SEE reflects the strong alignment between the two organisations’ missions.
For 25 years, RREUSE has promoted a circular economy that creates social and environmental value through social enterprises, supporting thousands of workers across Europe, including many people who are furthest from the labour market. SEE, in turn, champions the unique dimension of all social economy organisations in European policy.
As part of Social Economy Europe, RREUSE is keen to bring the views and practical experiences of grassroots reuse, repair and recycling social enterprises into SEE’s policy work, while coordinating positions in key EU legislative processes
Beyond policy engagement, RREUSE very much looks forward to collaborating with the SEE team and other members through knowledge exchange, mutual learning, and joint initiatives that demonstrate how the social economy generates positive social outcomes across its circular activities and beyond.
