New RREUSE Board appointed as the network celebrates 25 years

From 21 to 23 April in Brussels, our members from across Europe gathered for a special network meeting to celebrate RREUSE’s 25th anniversary. During the meeting, the General Assembly appointed the full RREUSE Board for the 2026–2028 term and, from within it, elected the members of the Executive Committee.

The elections highlighted a strong sense of continuity and shared purpose within our network. All Board members were re-appointed, reflecting members’ trust in a leadership that has, over the years, strengthened RREUSE’s position as the leading voice of circular social enterprises at the EU level and provided a solid foundation as we move into the next chapter.

We also said goodbye to two longstanding Board members, Giorgio Rosso and Margriet Jongerius, whose dedication and contributions have helped the RREUSE network grow and evolve. We warmly thank Margriet and Giorgio for their unwavering commitment and wish them every success in their next chapter.

Rachel Heijne (Branchevereniging Kringloop Nederland, Netherlands) joins the Board, taking over from Margriet. We look forward to working more closely with Rachel, whose extensive knowledge of the social and circular economy in the Netherlands will be a great asset to the network.

Marina Fornasier (Rete 14 Luglio, Italy) joins the Executive Committee as Secretary, succeeding Giorgio, bringing her long-standing experience in the Italian social and circular economy sector.

The Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 mandate is composed of Matthias Neitsch (Re-Use Austria), re-elected as President; Antigone Dalamaga (Ecorec, Greece) and Thomas Ahlmann (FairWertung, Germany) as Vice Presidents; Ivan Božić (Humana Nova, Croatia) as Treasurer; and Marina Fornasier as Secretary.

These developments keep our leadership largely stable while also bringing in fresh perspectives. During the 25th anniversary network meeting, members not only reflected on RREUSE’s achievements so far, but also looked ahead, exploring how to better support the social enterprises at the heart of Europe’s circular economy.
